People Attracted Towards Religion By Amir Liaquats Oratory: Sassui Palejo

KARACHI: Ramazan is about to end and the joyous moments of Eid are drawing closer. A large portion of the public is busy in their Eid shopping. But there is no reduction in the activities in the Shehr-e-Ramazan settled by world renowned broadcaster Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain. Rather there is gradual increase in the number of participants.
The participation of the public is not restricted to any particular section of the society. Notable people representing different sections of the society have shown their interest in the programme and want to be part of it which is hosted by their favourite host.
In this connection on the twenty third day of Geo TV’s ‘Pehchan Ramazan,’ guests from all shades of the society continued to pour in. During the broadcast Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Sassi Palejo, host of a private TV channel Fiza Ali, the world’s tallest person Naseer Soomro, Vice Chancellor Dow University Professor Masood Hameed Khan and his wife Professor Rana Qamar, noted FM channel broadcaster Ajmal Shobi and noted musician Tanveer Afridi all participated in the show and talked to Dr Amir.They responded to questions from the participants and showed their keen interest in all the items included in the programme.
Sassi Palejo appreciated the way Dr Amir talked and conducted the programme. Because of his style people are being attracted towards religion, he opined. Responding to a question with respect to women’s rights she said as minister she had tried her best to bring the women folk in the front line.
The Sindh Assembly member who has retuned on general seat instead of reserve seat said the Pakistan People’s Party was trying its best to grant due rights to the women in the society. When her attention was drawn towards comedian Lehri she expressed concern over his health condition. She described the artists as a treasure of the country and promised all out cooperation for his treatment.
TV artist Fiza Ali described Dr Amir as her favourite scholar and said she regularly watched his programme with great interest. On the 23rd day of the programme “Qurani Loh” the distribution of prizes was carried out with due ceremony. The participants won prizes worth rupees hundreds of thousands as well as three motorcycles.
Another feature of the program was the participation of the tallest person of the world Naseer Soomro. The final stage of the programme “Zer Zabar Pesh” has also begun, and the grand final will be held on tomorrow (Tuesday) on the occasion of August 14.

Shab-e-Pehchan To Mark Independence Day And 25th Of Ramazan

KARACHI: The Independence Day and odd night of 25th of Ramazan have fallen collectively after many years.To mark the occasion, Geo TV will broadcast special direct transmission “Shab-e-Pehchan” which will go on air tonight beginning at 10:00pm.
During the broadcast, the participants and viewers will offer prayers and in collective ‘dua’ will seek His blessings for safety and well being of Pakistan. They will pray for the solution of problems being faced by the nation and seek forgiveness for the mistakes and wrongdoings.
It is expected that thousands of people will appear in the show which will be conducted by Shabbir Abu Talib. The programme will formally be opened with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Qari Ibrahim Kasi.
Noted research scholar Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain will address the audience with respect to Shab-e-Pehchan and the programme will come to end with special prayers. On Wednesday special Geo transmission will be broadcast with respect to Shab-e-Qadar.
It may be recalled that Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain started the unique Ramazan transmission some eleven years back and won the heart and soul of millions of people. He started this broadcast from Geo TV which was duplicated later by other channels.

Pehchan Ramazan Breaks All Records Of Popularity

KARACHI: All past records of popularity have been broken by Geo TV’s ‘Pehchan Ramazan’, the biggest and unique broadcast of the television history.According to Gallop Pakistan and Media Logics, Geo has proved clear domination over all contemporary TV channels.
There is no decrease in the viewership of Shehr-e-Ramazan despite the passage of 20 days. The public takes part in the programme and meet their favourite host Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain in large numbers. Those attending the programme belong to every section of society and age group - from children to aged persons. Majority of them are women. All the programmes including ‘Alim aur Alim,’ ‘Ishaia,’ and ‘Zer Zabar Pesh’ are favourite to them.
